Help us to honor the memories of our trailblazing ancestors by caring for their final resting place.  For now, and for the generations after us.

About Us

The Prewitt Slave Cemetery Association (PSCA), also known as the Prewitt Slave Cemetery Preservation Team (PSCPT), was established in January 2022 by Patricia "Jack" Kemp and founded on the belief of the fact that we owe our ancestors a better resting place than forgotten graves amid bramble and thickets.

Goals:

  • Focus on honoring the memories of the dearly departed by caring for their final resting place

  • Complete the three-phase Project Plan/Scope of Work

  • Perform tasks that will preserve, protect, and sustain the Prewitt Slave Cemetery (PSC)

  • Perform functions that will support, educate, and foster community awareness

Project

The PSC Preservation and Perpetual Care Project is the team's one and only mission and we hope to accomplish our goals with volunteers' support and donations from all levels of our government, businesses, and community.

Get Involved -
Volunteer:

It may create an opportunity for you to meet old/new friends and maybe family who believe in the same cause that inspires you.

"Everybody can be great.  Because anybody can serve.  You don't have to have a college degree to serve.  You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve.  You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve.  You only need a heart full of grace.  A soul generated by love." - Martin Luther King. Jr.

"Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do." - Steve Jobs

Donate - it will:

  • Make you feel good and strengthen your personal value

  • Boaster your spirit of giving and Introduce our next generation to the importance of generosity
